PESHAWAR: The problems of earthquake victims in the affected districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have increased following a heavy downpour early Wednesday morning that turned the weather cold and chilly.
Dir Lower, Swat, Chitral, Peshawar, Kohistan and other quake hit areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhkwa was lashed by the heavy downpour this morning and hit quake victims living in makeshift tents by increasing their woes.
According to the Met Office, the maximum rain was received by Dir 66 millimeter, followed by Malamjaba, Swat 35mm, Kalam 30mm, Pattan Kohistan 29mm, Lower Dir 27mm, Drosh Chitral 24mm and Saidu Sharif 22mm respectively.
Chitral received 22mm, Peshawar City 20mm, Peshawar A/P 9mm, Kohat 6mm, Bannu 2mm, D.I.Khan one millimeter respectively.
The Met Office has forecast more rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills at scattered places in upper KP including Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan divisions and FATA while at isolated places in Kohat divisions in next 24 hours.
Rain in Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, Gujranwala, Sargodha, and Kohat is also likely.
In last 24 hours, rain-thunderstorm occurred at scattered places in KP, upper Punjab, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob divisions. NNI
