Patriot Web Desk: Nice’s Ivorian international Jean Michael Seri has been linked with a number of high profile clubs this summer including Arsenal, Barcelona and most recently Liverpool. The 26 year old diminutive midfielder joined Nice in the summer of 2015 and had a prolific last year.
For all his potential suitors specially those in England however there is a slight problem. Jean Seri suffers from a medical condition that means the player cannot properly train or play during cold weather.
The condition known as Chilblains are small, itchy swellings on the skin that occur as a reaction to cold temperatures. They most often affect the body’s extremities, such as the toes, fingers, heels, ears and nose.
In an interview with Goal.com the player himself admitted that he finds it hard to train in winters, saying “I have ingrown toenails and when it’s cold I need special treatment,” he admitted. “I don’t see myself playing in a country where it’s cold. I hurt everywhere and I struggle to train.
“I feel good here, and so does my family. I don’t see why I’d go elsewhere. The club is improving and there are many positives, so why go?”
