Monitoring website Downdetector stated that the messaging programme WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is unavailable in several nations.
According to reports, both private and group chats are affected by the outage.
WhatsApp is “experiencing a difficulty when connecting to the server,” according to WABetaInfo, a website that monitors changes to the programme.
A representative for WhatsApp’s parent company, Meta Platforms, said: “We’re aware that some users are now having problems sending messages and we’re trying to fix WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible.”
There’s a possibility that the outage affected more consumers.
