ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said regarding India’s allegations after the Pahalgam incident that we will not take the initiative, but if India does anything, we will respond with a brick for a stone.
While informing the House about the situation that has arisen in the Senate after the Pahalgam incident, Leader of the House in the Senate and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said that while representing the federation, this House has shown unity and all parties have passed a unanimous resolution.
He said that till now we have spoken to the Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, China, Britain, Kuwait, Bahrain and Hungary and told these countries about India’s history and India’s intentions.
He said that I suspect that this drama has been created to end this agreement. Pakistan has no hand in the Pahalgam incident, China and Turkey have taken a clear stand.
Ishaq Dar said that the Chinese Foreign Minister assured us of our support, the Turkish Foreign Minister said, tell us what we can do, told the Turkish Foreign Minister that India is thinking of taking some action and this time a brick will be answered with a stone.
He said that India has failed to provide any evidence, we are fulfilling our diplomatic duty.
Ishaq Dar said that in the Indus Waters Treaty, he has written a letter in which it was said that the situation has changed, he wrote that we are suspending the treaty, immediately after the Pulwama drama, the status of Kashmir was changed.
He said that the National Security Committee has said that if the water is stopped, it will be tantamount to war for us.
Ishaq Dar said that the US has unanimously issued a press release, in which I have made two objections on behalf of Pakistan, in it the United Resistance Forum has been condemned, and secondly I said that Jammu and Kashmir should also be written along with Pahalgam.
He said that Pakistan’s position was recognized in this, that Pakistan had nothing to do with the Pahalgam incident.
