We should raise voice on drone attacks: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD:  Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that we should raise our voice against done strikes in Pakistan. He said that drone attacks have started again in Pakistan. “Do our leaders have the courage to talk against drones?” asked Imran.

Addressing the sit-in participants today (Tuesday) in Islamabad, Imran Khan said that why are drone attacks being conducted in Pakistan when Pakistan Army is already fighting the terrorists in the North Waziristan Agency (NWA). He said that drones are against international law.

“Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi told me in India that he cannot even imagine some other country bombarding our citizens”, said Imran Khan. Imran Khan said that there is nothing wrong with Jihad. He said that only problem is with the wrong use of Jihad.

Imran Khan said that there is no short-cut to great achievements in the world. He said that loans help only a select few but are a burden on rest of the nation. He said that loans are used by big countries to enslave smaller countries. He said that loans are an addiction. “6 years ago, each child in Pakistan was under loan of Rs. 37,000, while in Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) era, it was raised to Rs. 70,000 each but within 18 months only, the current government has raised this figure to Rs. 85,000 per child”, said Chairman PTI.

Alleging the Election 2013 of being massively rigged, Imran Khan said that he kept asking the government to open 4 constituencies only, but it didn’t. He said that Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq got stay order from the court and kept hiding behind that stay order for 10 months. “If Ayaz Sadiq had won the election fairly, why did he get the stay order?” questioned Imran. “Then Ayaz Sadiq raised a question over the judge hearing my case”, he said.

Chairman PTI said that ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogan will follow (Prime Minister) Nawaz Sharif wherever he will go. He said that his public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan was the biggest ever gathering in the history of Pakistan. He said that according to estimates, there were around 7 to 11 lac people present in Lahore rally. He said that another massive sit-in will be held on Friday. He asked the people of Islamabad and Rawalpindi to arrive at the sit-in.

Talking about his assets and family, Imran Khan said that his assets’ details are available on the internet and anyone can see them. He challenged that he will leave politics if his assets outside Pakistan get proven.
