MUZAFFARGARH (DNA):After wreaking havoc in the plains of Punjab, flood has reached Sindh now where water levels are rising gradually at Sukkur and Guddu barrages.

However, water levels may not pose a serious threat as the flood department expects it to remain lower than the danger point.

Water inflow is increasing continuously on Sukkur and Guddu barrages. Around 4 – 5 hundred thousand cusec water is expected to pass through these barrages within next 24 hours.

50 villages have been flooded in Kaccha area of Pannu Aqil. 29 villages in Qadirpur along with thousands of acres and 4 villages of Kandh Kot have also been affected y the flood. People are moving out of these areas but because of poor facilities, people are not ready to live in the relief camps.

By breaking the barrier between Panjnad and Qadirabad, water flow has been slowed down in River Chenab. However, various places of Muzaffargarh are still looking like a river because of flood water.
