ISLAMABAD: The government has earmarked Rs. 2,872,38 million for the ongoing and new projects of Water and Power Division (power Sector) in Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2015-16.
According to the budgetary document released on Friday, the government has allocated an amount of Rs.10,000 million has been allocated for land acquisition for Diamer Basha Dam project while Rs 6000 million has been earmarked for Construction of Diamer Basha Dam project lot 1 to 5.
A sum of Rs 11000 million has been allocated for Neelum Jhelum Hydro Power Project. Rs 10984 million has been earmarked for Tarbela Fourth Extension hydro Power Project.
An allocation of Rs 500 million has been made for import of 100 MW power from Iran while Rs 200 million has been earmarked for interconnection of Chashma Nuclear power plant. NNI
