KARACHI: The government’s claims of increasing security of educational institutions of Karachi felt short as the authorities removed the walk through gates of Karachi University on Friday despite security threats.
According to details, the security measures seem insufficient even after three cracker attacks in the largest metropolis of the country. The administration has complained the walk-through gates come inexpensive and therefore been removed.
They said the gates had been rented from a security company and were becoming unaffordable. The administration also hoped that Karachi University – one of the largest in the city – will soon acquire its own gates soon. Nobody knows when exactly.
Update: A social welfare organisation has announced to donate four walk-through gates for the university. NNI
