Mohamed Salah loves the Wanda Metropolitano. But, clearly, the regulars don’t have a lot of time for the Egyptian.
Salah netted the winning penalty on Tuesday at the same end where he notched in the Champions League final triumph over Tottenham Hotspur two years ago.
And, after earlier opening the scoring, he was afforded a lap of honour of sorts when his injury-time substitution led to him walking around the pitch and behind the goal housing the most vociferous of the Atletico fans.
They let the forward know exactly what they thought of his contribution. It wasn’t complimentary, but that’s exactly how Salah would have wanted it.
