The head of the US Central Command, General Michael Eric Corella, has declared Pakistan an important partner in the war on terrorism.

According to the report, the whole world recognizes Pakistan’s positive and active role in the fight against terrorism, and the head of the US Central Command, General Michael Corella, has appreciated Pakistan’s role in the fight against terrorism.

Speaking before the US Senate Armed Services Committee, General Corella said that ‘ISIS Khorasan is currently one of the most active terrorist organizations in the world, and Pakistan has emerged as an exceptional counter-terrorism partner.

General Corella admitted that ‘as a result of close intelligence cooperation with Pakistan, dozens of ISIS Khorasan terrorists have been killed and arrested.’ These arrests include at least five of the organization’s most wanted leaders.

He said that Pakistani authorities have achieved several important successes for the United States through intelligence sharing, including the arrest and extradition of the mastermind of the Abbeygate bombing, Jafar.

The head of CENTCOM said that immediately after this arrest, the Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir personally contacted and informed.

General Korella said that Pakistan is continuing operations against ISIS Khorasan through limited but effective intelligence sharing.

He further said that at present this terrorist group is active in the border zone of Pakistan and Afghanistan, Pakistan’s partnership is proving to be very important and effective in the global context of counter-terrorism.

The American general said that since the beginning of 2024, more than 1,000 terrorist attacks have occurred in the western regions of Pakistan.

The head of Central Command said that about 700 security personnel and civilians have been killed and 2,500 injured in these attacks, Pakistan is fighting an active counter-terrorism war.

General Korella said that it seems that ISIS Khorasan has been weakened and its activities have decreased, the main reason for this is the heavy losses it has suffered in recent months, we will have to maintain relations with Pakistan and India.

The head of Central Command said that I do not think this is such a blunt decision that if it is related to India, it cannot be related to Pakistan.
