ISLAMABAD: During the open court hearing of faulty stent case on Thursday, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar remarked that there is no ruthless act as parallel to the unavailability of proper stents and medication to heart patients.

Justice Saqib Nisar expressed that he had himself witnessed the agony of heart patients with his own eyes. The Chief Justice revealed that proper stents and medication are unavailable to the patients according to their capacities. He professed that the qualitative medication should be made available to the patients. Justice Saqib Nisar ordered that report on stent registration should be presented till Monday.

In addition, the bench headed by Chief Justice Pakistan also demanded reports about diagnosis facilities, breast cancer, liver transplantation and selling of donated blood while hearing the case about the miserable situation in hospital and embezzlement in hospital funds. The Chief Justice remarked that the selling of donated blood is an unpardonable crime.
