ISLAMABAD: Arrangements for transportation of mortal remains of ambassadors in the Naltar tragedy to their respective countries are being finalized.
A Foreign Office spokesperson said in Islamabad that a final decision to this effect will be taken after consultation with the families and officials of the embassies concerned.
The mortal remains of the ambassadors of Norway and Philippines and the wives of ambassadors of Malaysia and Indonesia have already been air-lifted from Naltar to Rawalpindi.
The injured ambassadors of Indonesia, the Netherlands, Malaysia and Poland were also transported back by a special C-310 flight.
The rest of the group of diplomats, who had gone to Gilgit, also returned safely to Rawalpindi.
The mortal remains of the deceased have been placed in the morgue of CMH, Rawalpindi.
The injured ambassadors of Indonesia and the Netherlands have been admitted to the Special Burns Unit in Kharian. The remaining injured were under treatment at CMH in Rawalpindi.
Meanwhile, Delegations of Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Norway have arrived in Islamabad to take back the mortal remains of the Naltar tragedy to their respective countries.
According to Foreign Office Spokesperson, a seven member delegation from Philippines, five member from Indonesia, three from Malaysia and five member delegation from Norway reached Islamabad today. Two Ministers of States included in the Philippines delegation. The delegations also include DNA experts.
The spokesman said the members of delegations consulted Pakistani officials regarding taking back the mortal remains of the Naltar incident. DNA

ECP notifies JI victory in official results of PK-95 by-election
LOWER DIR, May 10 (DNA): The Election Commission of Pakistan on Sunday released officials’ results of PK-95 by-election, confirming victory of Jamaat-e-Islami’s candidate.
According to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), JI’s Aizazul Mulk emerged victorious from the constituency after securing 20,000 votes followed by Awami National Party’s (ANP) Haji Bahadur Khan who won 16,439 votes.
Qari Ziaul Haq Haideri of Rah-e-Haq Party was third as he bagged 3,024 votes.
Voting turnout was 27% as 48,558 votes were casted in the elections in which 1273 were rejected.
However, women did not cast their votes in several areas of the constituency. ECP also took notice of the issue.
Aizazul Mulk is also the head of Lower Dir chapter of Jamaat e Islami. Mulk and Bhadaur both are popular among the masses in the constituency.
The PK-95 seat fell vacant after JI emir Sirajul Haq resigned following his nomination as the party chief. He had secured the seat in the General Elections 2013. DNA
