HYDERABAD (NNI): At least four people died after consuming toxic home-made liquor in Hyderabad.
The incident occurred in Latifabad area no. 4 and 5 of Hyderabad where several dens of home-made liquor are established with alcohol openly being sold.
Local residents have confirmed selling of liquor in their respective areas. As many as nine people have died so far after consuming toxic liquor in last five days in Hyderabad and its surrounding areas.
It may be noted here that police had recently launched a crackdown against liquor dens and claimed to have arrested 70 dealers, but alcohol-related deaths have so far not been contained.
