Dua Zahra, a teenager, was taken to the port city of Karachi from Lahore in accordance with court orders on Saturday morning. Today, she will be placed before a medical board for a test to determine her age.
After her father contested the results of an earlier test that indicated the child was between the ages of 16 and 17, the procedure to determine her age will be repeated.
Zahra, who vanished from her Karachi home in April but was subsequently discovered to have wed Zaheer Ahmed in Lahore, was taken by the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC).— into its custody from Lahore after a special team was formed to recover her.The police officers added that while her spouse has arrived in Karachi on his own, she will be brought before the medical board for an ossification test, which was established last week.
