LAHORE: Three more death row prisoners were sent to the gallows in different jails of Punjab on early Thursday morning while execution of two convicts has been postponed.
According to details, the convict, Aijaz alias Jajji was hanged at the gallows in Gujranwal Jail. He killed Ghulam Rasool who demanded his loaned money back from him.
In Gujranwala, two executions were scheduled for Thursday; however, convict Amjad’s hanging was stayed owing to a compromise deal reached between the two parties.
Another death row prisoner, Shaukat Masih breathed his last at the gallows in aFaisalabad’s jail. The convict was proved guilty of Nadeem Masih’s murder.
In Multan Central Jail, a death cell inmate, Abbas, was executed for twin murders. He killed two people over land dispute in 1996.
