RAWALPINDI: Three people, including a young girl, were killed in the Nakyal and Tatta Pani sectors along the Line of Control (LoC) on Friday when Indian troops opened fire in the area. Six people were also injured in the shelling by Indian troops in the villages along the LoC.
‘Nakyal and Tatta Pani sectors came under fire on Friday, with Indian troops targeted civilian populations without any provocation,’ said officials, reported a media outlet.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Army refuted Indian claims of killing Pakistani soldiers at the Working Boundary, calling them baseless. According to the ISPR, the Indian claim of killing Pakistani soldiers is part of a propaganda campaign to hide their losses.
‘Indian propaganda is aimed to divert world attention from the situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir,’ the statement said.
Earlier on Friday, Indian media quoted India’s Border Security Force (BSF) as claiming that 15 personnel of Pakistan Rangers were killed during firing across the border. The claims come hours after Pakistan declared an official of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, Surjeet Singh, as persona non grata and asked him to leave the country by Oct 29 after much the same treatment was meted out by India to a staffer of the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, Mehmood Akhtar.
