LONDON, Oct 26 (INP): Thousands of people supporting the Kashmir cause
participated in the “Million March” here on Sunday to expressed solidarity
with Kashmiri people for their decades-long struggle for the right of
The Million March started from London’s Trafalgar Square will be concluded
at 10 Downing Street to protest against human rights violations by Indian
troops in the occupied Kashmir.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, his sister
Assefa Bhutto Zardari besides Pakistan’s religious, social as well as
political parties including MQM participated in the march.
Speaker on the occasion former prime minister, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK)
Barrister Sultan Mehmood said, “We have gathered here to express solidarity
with the people of Kashmir and to divert attention of the international
community towards Kashmir issue”.
He said this struggle would continue till the independence of Kashmir in
accordance with the UN resolutions.
Some miscreants threw bottles at the stage from where the participants of
Kashmir Million March were to be addressed. Barrister Sultan said India’s
sympathizers tried to sabotage the procession.
In a message on micro-blogging website twitter, Assefa Bhutto Zardari posted
that “Indian agents tried 2 stop my brother from speaking but Alhamdulillah
they did NOT succeed. He completed his speech& Alhamdulillah he is safe.”
In a statement, Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani decleared London Million
March a much needed step stated that it is to give world a message that
terrorism has no direct or indirect link to the Kashmir Liberation Movement
and the people of Kashmir were struggling for their genuine right.
Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto has faced with interesting situation in London where he reached to attend Million March for Kashmir’s right of self determination, as people threw tomatoes, eggs, and empty water bottles at stage demanding him to leave.The participants of the march also chanted “Go Nawaz GO” and “Go Bilwal Go” , rumpus was so much intense that London police intervened and Bilawal has to leave with police.
