ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that those who are fueling the killing and destruction are not only Balochistan but the enemies of the entire Pakistan.
Speaking at the federal cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that we are all praying that the Hamas-Israel ceasefire turns into a permanent ceasefire. More than 50,000 Palestinians were martyred in this, including women, children, doctors, engineers, and youth. Thousands were imprisoned and Gaza was reduced to a pile of rubble.
He said that Pakistan has always raised its voice strongly for the freedom of its Palestinian brothers and a ceasefire in Gaza, and we will continue to play our role in the future as much as we can. The reconstruction phase is also about to begin in Gaza, in which Pakistan will play its part and fulfill its duty.
The Prime Minister said that the air operation of Gwadar Airport began yesterday, which is a very welcome thing. This project has been completed at a cost of $230 million from China, which has made Gwadar Airport one of the major airports in Pakistan. This airport will prove to be very beneficial for Balochistan and the country’s economy. We should appreciate a friendly country like China, which has gifted this port to Pakistan with its resources.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the elements who are hostile to Pakistan and are heating up the market for killing and destruction should understand that by killing and destruction, they are not only going against the people of Balochistan but it is also a clear hostility towards Pakistan. Whatever confrontation is taking place, this is hostility towards Pakistan.
He said that the World Bank has created a long-term partnership framework, under which $20 billion will be invested in Pakistan in the next 10 years. Although this is a loan, if our sectors are strengthened by international institutions, we will definitely have to welcome it and face the challenges that come in its way.
The Prime Minister said that IT exports are gradually increasing. In December, IT exports worth $348 million were made in this sector. For this, I thank the entire team. We will encourage this sector, which will benefit Pakistan. Similarly, the government had announced a comprehensive program for electric vehicles, which will also be taken forward. The government will continue all its efforts to further improve the country’s economy.
The Prime Minister further said that Hajj is coming, it is hoped that this year the best facilities will be provided to Pakistani pilgrims at all places including Medina and Mecca.
He said that the efforts that are being made to end the Fitnat al-Khawarij, the sacrifices that are being made, the government and the people cannot repay the debt of the martyrs even if they want to, in return for which peace will be established in the country and progress and prosperity will be achieved. We, as a nation, should fully realize that there is no greater sacrifice than saving millions of children from becoming orphans by orphaning our children
