The shooting of the new web series ‘Fruit Chart’ by Moeez Abbas, the young director of the world award winning Pakistan Showbiz, has been started.
The story of this web series is written by writer and human activist Tanzila Khan who herself is playing the lead role in this web series while famous actors Fawad Jalal, Nadia Afghan will also be seen playing special roles in this project.
The story of Fruit Chaat revolves around an educated and capable girl ‘Shabana’ who is a woman who uses a wheelchair but is a great example of courage. She faced these difficulties without giving up and was able to make a place for herself in the society.
Shabana struggles to make a place for herself in a society where stereotypes and prejudices surrounding disability stand in the way of dreams and success. Infused with comedy, this unique story will make viewers laugh as well as leave them with many topics to ponder, including employment, love, friendship, and the experiences of being a woman.
The web series directed by Moeez Abbas is currently in the shooting stage which is likely to release in the first week of January while the final release date will be announced soon. The 7-episode web series ‘Fruit Chart’ will be released on its official streaming partner ‘Mico’, Fruit Chat was previously presented as a ‘short film’ which screened at the Muslim International Film Festival (UK). , has also received ‘Best Short Film’ awards from the Women’s International Film Festival and Russia.
