Islamabad: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir has said that the plight of innocent Kashmiris and Palestinians is an assurance that the international community still needs to do a lot.
According to the Department of Public Relations of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), the 28th Annual Conference of the International Organization of Peacekeeping Training Centers (IAPTC) will be held for the first time in Pakistan at the Center for International Peace and Stability Institute Islamabad from November 4 to 8. is being held.
According to the declaration, the ceremony was officially started by the Army Chief with the inauguration of the new building.
On this occasion, UN Under-Secretary General for Peace Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, UN Police Advisor, Acting Deputy Military Advisor, Foreign Secretary of Pakistan and Rector Nest were also present along with the Chief Guest.
The Army Chief said in his speech that today world peace is facing increasing threats and challenges, despite the ongoing peace efforts by the United Nations and other organizations, the plight of innocent Kashmiris and Palestinians is a reminder of this. That much still needs to be done.
According to ISPR, Chief Guest Jean-Pierre Lacroix appreciated Pakistan’s services in the UN peacekeeping mission and also thanked Pakistan for hosting the IAPTC conference.
On arrival at the ceremony, the Chief of Army Staff was received by Inspector General Training and Evaluation Lt. Gen. Fayaz Hussain Shah, Hilal Imtiaz.
