Lahore:
JAmeer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has demanded that the government immediately announce a reduction of at least Rs 50 per liter in the price of petrol in view of the continuous decline in crude oil prices in the global market.
Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said in his statement that in the last 50 days, the price of crude oil has decreased by more than $ 12 per barrel and this price has come down from $ 82 to $ 69.3, which is equal to the level of August 2021.
He said that the government has already imposed an unjust burden on the people in the form of petroleum levy, which should be ended immediately.
He added that prices are increased for a one-dollar increase in the price of oil in the global market, but the benefit of the reduction is not given to the people, the people should get this benefit.
Hafiz Naeem also expressed serious concern over the rising inflation during Ramadan, saying that inflation has broken the backs of the people, the Prime Minister’s claims of reducing inflation are a joke on the nation, and essential goods are becoming increasingly out of reach of the common man.
