Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that for the development and prosperity of the country, it is necessary to have economic and political stability within the country, for which everyone has to play a role.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif while addressing the meeting of the Apex Committee said that the economy of Pakistan is gradually moving towards stability due to the hard work and honesty of everyone, in which everyone including the federation and the provinces have a role, on which everyone has a role to play. He said that the development and prosperity of the country, economic and political stability are connected with each other, without it no society can move forward.
He said that it is very important for development and prosperity that there is economic and political stability within the country, for this we all have to play a role and should discuss it openly.
The Prime Minister said that the Federation of Provinces has given full support in getting the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program approved, and I am grateful to the Chief Ministers of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan for this cooperation.
He said that as a result of this, Pakistan’s stock exchange is at its highest level in history, inflation in the country is in single digits and interest rate has come down from 22% to 15%.
He said that there was a record increase in IT exports, good growth in external remittances, all these aspects indicate that stability is slowly coming but it does not mean that the path to growth and prosperity is over. have opened but it will be possible when there is investment within the country, Pakistani investors as well as foreign investment.
The Prime Minister said that first there is internal investment and then foreign investors come after being encouraged, there is no other method and the current program of the IMF will be the last program in the history of Pakistan.
