By the time you read this piece, Pakistan and South Africa would have already commenced the battle, if the weather permits. Although Pakistan would be high on confidence after winning the two consecutive matches but there is no room for mistakes in this crucial match. Currently they are on third place on the points table. By winning today’s match chances of Pakistan to go the quarter finals would be sky high.

South Africa is one the main contender to win the mega event, management of Pakistan cricket team has to take bold decisions to emerge victorious. Nasir Jamshed has been provided with enough opportunities but it is time to put Sarfaraz Ahmed into the team. The wicketkeeper batsman was in supreme form ahead of the world cup and his talent has not been utilized yet. His inclusion would not only solve the issue of opening slot but would also solve the dilemma of dropping catches.  Makeshift wicket keeper Umar Akmal has dropped catches in all the four matches Pakistan has played so far. Just imagine how costly it would be if a catch of AB de Villiers is put down by the makeshift wicket keeper. He is a batsman who has the capability to take the game away from any team of the world.

Cricket pundits, particularly one of the great of the game’s legendary Imran Khan has suggested that in-form batsmen should come up in the batting order. Misbah should come at the number three slot so an in-form batsman has more deliveries to face. It is pertinent to mention that Imran Khan took the initiatives and played two consecutive match winning innings in 1992 world cup and lead his team to lift the trophy.

Confidence of being the only Asian team to win against South Africa in South Africa would also help to the green shirts. Our bowlers though less experienced have the ability to restrict the mighty batting line-up of South Africa.
