KARACHI: Test cricketer Abid Ali was “stable and undergoing further tests” at a hospital after he complained of chest pain Tuesday.
The batter was rushed to the health facility where he underwent multiple medical tests.
A PCB spokesperson told The News that the player is stable and undergoing further tests.
Abid Ali is representing Central Punjab in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
The match between KP and Central Punjab was being played at the UBL Sports Complex, Karachi when the player felt pain and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Hospital sources said that Abid Ali underwent precautionary medical tests and all his initial reports were “clear”.
His ECG report was normal while the result of another test relating to the presence of protein in heart tissues came back negative, the sources said, adding that the player’s eco test was underway.
