KARACHI: At least six persons were killed in separate incidents of fire exchanges and road accident in different areas of the metropolis on Friday.
The first incident took place at Northern Bypass near Raees Goth locality where police exchanged fire with terrorists.
Two terrorists believed to be linked with a banned outfit were killed in the exchange of fire. The terrorists killed in an encounter were wanted by police in various cases of attacks on police, recovered arms and explosives from their possession.
The police shot dead two robbers in exchange of fire with them in Boatbasin police station, recovered arms and snatched motorcycle from their possession. The police conducted operation against the incident and arrested 15 suspects after recovery of arms.
Unknown miscreants shot dead a cop identified as Naeem, 25, in 3-Mint Chourangi locality. The deceased was serving at Nazimabad police station.
A man was killed and another injured in separate incidents of firing in Kharadar and Joriya Bazaar in Karachi.
The police after registering separate cases in all incidents have started the investigation.
