imagesISLAMABAD: Intelligence agencies have informed the Ministry of Interior about a possible terrorist attack on Islamabad sit-ins, by a banned organization.

IAs in their report informed that there are five to six terrorists present at the Islamabad sit-ins, who are planning to wage a major terrorist attack. IAs intercepted telephonic conversations between the miscreants, who tend to turn the demonstrations bloody and provided these intercepts to the Ministry of Interior.

It was further reported that the terrorists are linked with a banned outfit, belonging to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province. IAs also stated the miscreants are looking for a suitable time to execute their plans.

The Interior Ministry has conveyed an intelligence alert to the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and asked both the protesting parties to tighten their internal security.

Moreover, the outer security vested with the state law enforcement agencies (LEAs), has also been beefed-up after the intelligence report.Agencies
