ISLAMABAD: Terrorists are retreating as a result of the successfully conducted operation Zarb-e-Azb, this was stated by President Mamnoon Hussain while addressing the 12th convocation of Sarhad University here on Saturday.

The President said that the law and order situation in the country is improving day by day and the time is not far when the country will see the dawn of complete peace and stability.

The President said that some misguided elements who declare themselves as the champions of Islam target educational institutions, mosques and other places.

He said the entire nation should stand behind the country’s armed forces and other security agencies to foil the nefarious designs of these extremists. Our armed forces have achieved major successes and they are confident to take this war to its logical conclusion added the President.

He said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa deserve appreciation for standing like a rock wall in front of the terrorists. Referring to the ongoing operation in Karachi, the President said the government is determined to continue the operation in the industrial and economic hub of the country till complete elimination of all criminal elements in the city.

Earlier, the President gave away awards to the outstanding students. NNI/News Desk
