LAHORE:Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said that the government is taking concrete steps to curb terrorism. He was talking to a delegation of European Parliament who called on him in Lahore on Friday morning.
The Chief Minister expressed the resolve that the menace of terrorism will be rooted out from the country soon. He said the entire political, religious and military leadership is united against terrorism and a well trained counter terrorism force has been set up to eliminate terrorists.
Shahbaz Sharif said that many projects have been initiated to steer the country out of energy crisis. He apprised the delegation about the discovery of precious minerals from Chiniot and said that these minerals are a good omen for the economy of the country.
He said that GSP plus status helped the country to enhance its textile exports. The delegation appreciated the Punjab government’s measures with regard to implementing GSP plus conventions. DNA
