KARACHI: After experiencing a technical issue, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane made an emergency landing at Karachi airport.
When a problem was discovered, PIA aircraft PK-741 was in route from Islamabad to Jeddah. He immediately got in touch with the control tower to request authorization to perform an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.
The pilot was given the go-ahead to safely land the aircraft. As soon as the problem is fixed, the flight’s passenger will be transported to Jeddah, according to officials.
A spokeswoman for the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) informed the media that experts had discovered a problem with the aircraft’s backup rear air turbine. He affirmed that the problem had been resolved.
As a private plane performed an emergency landing in Karachi on December 2, this is the second emergency landing by Pakistani flights in a period of three days.
