ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office has said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government was informed about the visit of foreign diplomats.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Office has said that Pakistan is the guarantor of providing security to all diplomats. We invite foreign diplomats to travel throughout Pakistan.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a media briefing that security agencies are investigating the incident and strict action is being taken for negligence in the Malam Jabba incident.
Spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that strict notice is being taken for not informing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this regard. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government was informed about the visit of the diplomats and we also have documentary evidence in this regard. A letter was written to the KP Govt. Some of the ambassadors had contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs individually to inform about their trip.

The spokesperson further said that the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce did not inform about the visit of foreign ambassadors. The Chamber of Commerce is reviewing the action against Islamabad. After the incident, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar met with foreign diplomats. Foreign diplomats are also asked to follow the guidelines issued on several occasions. Pakistan is committed to providing security to any foreign diplomat.

The Foreign Office spokesperson said that Pakistan, like other neighboring countries of Afghanistan, is concerned about peace and security there. We are working together with Afghan neighbors to ensure that Afghanistan does not become a threat to other countries. The issue of terrorism from Afghanistan has been raised in the United Nations.
Pakistan wants to see Afghanistan as a stable, peaceful and prosperous country and the welfare of the Afghan people. Terrorists are using Afghanistan’s land and posing a threat to our security and peace. Pakistan and Iran are close neighbours. There are several channels of communication between the two countries. Through dialogue and dialogue, both countries can work for the prosperity of their people.
