Rawalpindi: The newly constructed road in Westridge which is nearly 400 feet long and was recently completed has been built using sub standard material it has been learnt from credible sources. According to locals the road has been built to accommodate certain influential figures as business operated by these people in residential areas of Westridge fall on the said road. The business are private clinic run by Dr. Shahid Siddique in house 339-A in Westridge I, beauty parlor operating in house 182-A and Roots International School in house 204 are all located on the road. The newly constructed road was built the Rawalpindi Cantonment using tax payer’s money. If laboratory tests are conducted on the quality of the samples taken from the above mentioned road it would fail to clear the tests as the road has been constructed using mud and cement. Residents have requested Rawalpindi Station Commander, Brigadier Zahid Ahmed Rana to take notice of the issue and misuse of fund and have asked for an inquiry against the contractor who constructed the road.
