Mocking the religion is now quite an observable fact in the present world. It seems as if the new world that has been created by the seculars has little to no room for other religions specifically for Islam. It isn’t only the Muslims themselves but the recent increase in anti Muslim attacks that speak for the innocence of the Muslims. Such moral and physical attacks have become so much common that they are considered to be of trivial importance. But the world is finally opening its eyes to the derogatory treatment being faced by the Muslims all around the world. Reaction to an insulting act of an Australian senator rightly speaks for this changing mindset. The image of Australia’s senate is already not much polite but Ms Hanson’s act has just added fuel to the fire. Ms Hanson, a representative of One Nation party busted into the senate wearing Burqa as if she was not only mocking Islam but also was disrespecting the followers of the religion. The rightful reaction from the other participants who were stunned to see such act explains that the world is now fed up from these islamophobic acts. Pauline Hanson’s remarks on favoring burqa ban in Australia not only depicted her loath for the Islamic practices but also brought forward the prejudiced approach against Muslims. Freedom of speech where people are given right to mock others’ sentiments seems to be staling when it comes to the freedom of religion. Ms Hanson explicitly linked terrorism to burqa, quite a senseless association though. These legislators who have been propounding Islam as a threat are in reality threatening the peace of the entire world. She has considered burqa to be an obstacle for a successful life. It is astounding to witness the input from such people into the holy practices of the religions. She said that Australians are under threat of terrorism but has actually left half a million Muslims of Australia threatened by such an act. Such acts which are intended to malign Islam are actually rippling an opposite impact. Both political and academic leadership in Australia has considered this gesture as an extremely unwelcoming one and believe that it has just moved the community against the burqa ban in Australia.
Burqa ban will do no good to stop terrorism.
