Conspiracy, conspiracy and conspiracy. Conspiracy against the Prime Minister, Conspiracy against the Parliament, Conspiracy against the democracy, conspiracy against the system, conspiracy against the people’s right to rule, conspiracy against CPEC, conspiracy against the state, conspiracy against the masses so on and so forth. The sagacity of our leaders has literally confused their followers, if not the masses.
The question is: Dear Sir who is conspiring against you? Don’t beat about the bush. Just spit it out if you have anything to say.
The plan is very clear. The ruling elite, perhaps the first in Pakistan’s history, is facing the actual blow of the law. The court is operating independently, the is no military takeover, constitution is intact, the investigation has been completed by the subordinate institutions of the government, it is not the government that has put the opposition on trial, it is the opposition that has placed the ruler in the dock. This development is unprecedented move in our history. It is a nightmare for the political elite to be tried under the law and only the law. They are well aware of the fact that they have nothing to jolt the JIT report. They are perhaps caught red handed. They can’t believe it has happened. They had never even dreamed such like horrible situation. So now there is only one way left: politicize the case, create confusion, portray yourself as savior of the democracy and an iconic victim of injustice. This is exactly what the government is doing. But will these tactics bring some good for the House of Sharif is anybody’s guess.
This empty rhetoric shall not serve their cause. The government must come with some solid arguments. It must narrate if it has any story. It must tell us who is conspiring. The Prime Minister must name them. No empty rhetoric please as Aetzaz Ahsan would say it: Grow up! grow up!
