South Korean researchers have unveiled an advanced transport drone capable of self-correcting to maintain stability in flight.
Developed by a team at the Seoul National University of Science and Technology, the prototype serves as a “flying shopping cart” designed to carry items over uneven surfaces, including stairs. The drone system has a cargo program that is guided by the user. This program uses less energy to navigate the drone. The team demonstrated the drone’s ability to move objects up and down stairs while maintaining stable balance through a sophisticated system of mass estimation algorithms.
