CHAKOTHI (INP): Special bus service will run between Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Srinagar to facilitate the people stranded on two sides of the line of control (LoC) due to suspension of vehicular traffic service caused by flashfloods in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK).

Trade Facilitation Officer (TFO) Chakothi, Basharat Iqbal said that special bus service will carry stranded people from AJK to Srinagar and bring back people trapped there on Friday. Those who will not be able to take benefit of the said facility will have to wait till Monday next, when another similar special bus service would run across the border, he added.

Meanwhile, cross border trade continued on Thursday and 22 goods laden trucks left for Srinagar while 16 arrived from other side of the LoC. Authorities said that the cross border trade will continue as route linking AJK and Srinagar which was damaged due to torrential rains and flashfloods has been cleared off.
