Speakers demand quality education, full fledge university

CHITRAL (INP): The 137th birth anniversary of national poet and great philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal with enthusiasm besides inauguration ceremony of School of Knowledge & Sciences (SKS) held at Singor village of Chitral on Sunday.

 

District Education Officer, Chitral Mueenuddin Khattak was chief guest on the occasion while the ceremony was presided over by Rahimullah, Deputy Advocate General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

 

Addressing the ceremony held in connection with Iqbal Day and opening of SKS, the speakers said that by following Iqbal’s philosophy of self assessment (and Khudi) we can hoist our flag across the globe.

 

Director SKS Muhammad Karim said that he belong to very remote area of Khot valley who got his education  until metric level from high school Khot and then left for Karachi. But I found great difference in education system and standard between Chitral and Karachi he added. That is why I decided to launch this education system which will be monitored online as well as it will be up-graded to O level. This school will render quality education to students of the area as well as scholarships will also be offered to talented students.

 

The speakers said that Chitral is on fourth number in education in KP having a large number of school and college but no full fledge university. They said that although there is plentiful quantity education but less quality education.

They appreciated Muhammad Karim’s efforts who initiative for establishment of standardized education system and school with latest information technology who will be monitored by CCTV cameras.

Ameer Wali, Principal Government Centennial Model High School, Liaqat Ali Khan former director education AKES,  Haji Yar Khan Assistant Director of Allama Iqbal Open University,  Dr. Israrullah Khan, District Health Officer, Ziauddin President All Teachers Association ChitraL, Wazir Muhammad, Chairman Chitral Community Development Network, Israrullah, President Insaf StudentS Federation, and otherS paid rich tribute to national hero Allama Iqbal and also hailed contribution of  Muhammad Karim for establishing of school with quality education.

The speakers said that knowledge is power and no nation can develop without quality education. They stressed for getting quality education with latest information technology
