ISLAMABAD : Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services, Dr Zafar Mirza has emphasized that the smart lockdown is necessary for running the wheel of national economy. Talking to a private television channel, the special assistant said the government does not agree to the proposal of World Health Organization for imposing 15 days lockdown and 15 days ease in it. The special assistant said the government is providing all health facilities, equipments and enhancing the capacity building of hospitals. He urged people to act according to the Standard Operating Procedures issued by government; otherwise, problems would be faced by the government as well as the people. Replying to a question, he said that the government would increase the capacity of 1,000 ventilation beds in different hospitals in provinces.
