ISLAMABAD: Justice (retd) Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui, the 31st governor of Sindh passed away on January 11. Merely a few hours after the governor passed away, Editor in Chief Pakistan Group of Newspapers and Chairman Roze News Sardar Khan Niazi expressed grief over the sad demise of the governor in his program Sachi Baat. In the same program, Sardar Khan Niazi when asked about the importance of appointing a new governor soon claimed that Chairman Privatization Commission, Muhammad Zubair will be the new governor Sindh.

In the followings days various news channels and newspapers presented a number of names and claimed that the new governor will be from among them. Names of PML-N lawmaker Mushahidullah Khan, Khawaja Qutubuddin, Board of Investment Chairman Miftah Ismail and PML-N Senator Nehal Hashmi were presented as potential candidates for the prized slot of Governor Sindh. However, Sardar Khan Niazi remained firm on his news that it will be the brother of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Asad Umar, Muhammad Zubair who will eventually be appointed as the governor Sindh.

This is not the first time that the information revealed by Sardar Khan Niazi has proved to be correct. Back in January 2016, Sardar Khan Niazi during his program Sachi Baat had claimed that then Army Chief General Raheel Sharif will not seek extension and will retire on time. Sardar Khan Niazi claimed this when rumours were rampant that the Army Chief will seek an extension. Ten months later the Army Chief retired on time as predicted by Sardar Khan Niazi.

Similarly, four months before Absar Alam was appointed Chairman PEMRA, SK Niazi had indicated the same. This is the very reason that Sachi Baat in a short span of time has become one of the most widely watched prime time programs. The audience is firm in their belief that news given by Sardar Khan Niazi will prove to be true and that Sachi Baat presents nothing but the truth and before everyone else.
