Shehbaz inaugurates Kidney & Liver Transplant Institute
LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif Monday inaugurated the first phase of Pakistan’s kidney and liver transplant centre here. The Chief Minister Punjab also addressed the inauguration ceremony, where he said that the first phase of the project became operational costing Rs20 billion. The Chief Minister Punjab said that the centre is the first of its kind in South Asia.
He said that the patients across Pakistan not only Punjab will be treated at the kidney and liver centre. Shehbaz Sharif said that the credit for the journey of progress goes to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. He said that the politics of sit-ins has destroyed the country, adding that peace will not be established in the country due to sit-ins.
Editor in Chief Pakistan Group of Newspapers and Chairman Roze News Sardar Khan Niazi also visited Lahore on the request of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharief to take part in the inauguration of Pakistan Kidney and Lever Institute and Research centre.
Sardar Khan Niazi assured all out support for the kidney and liver center. It is pertinent to mention here that Sardar Khan Niazi in his renowned talk show ‘Sachi Baat’ had raised his voice numerous times for the need of a state of the art kidney and liver institute and research centre in Lahore.
It is pertinent to mention here that, Sardar Khan Niazi welfare trust is well known for welfare projects and provision of assistance to needy people.
Back in the nineties SKN trust provided financial assistance to the then government of Nawaz Sharif in order to import the very first dialysis machine in the country for a kidney and liver institute and research centre established in Islamabad. INP/News Desk
