QUETTA: At least six Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel were martyred and one was injured in an explosion near Margit Check Post here on Monday.

Security forces arrived at the venue soon after the blast and cordoned off the area. The injured were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

According to security forces sources, the roadside planted bomb targeted an FC vehicle, killing five personnel on the spot. Another security person succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Inspector General FC Major Gen Sher Afgan said that the sacrifices of martyrs would not go waste. The Frontier Constabulary (FC) would continue to serve till restoration of peace across the province, he added.
