Govt to observe Palestine Day on 17th to show solidarity with people of Gaza
PTI, PAT failed to win public support, says Pervez Rasheed
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervez Rasheed has said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chariman Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri have failed to win public support.
While talking to state media, Pervez said that all major parliamentary forces of the country have rejected Imran Khan’s negative politics. He said that Imran Khan will not be able to achieve his ends.
Pervez Rasheed said that people will have to choose between Imran Khan’s way and the way of prosperity and progress led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He said that PTI wants to promote anarchy in the country.
Veteran Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader said that by calling a long march on August 14, PTI will leave negative impact on the minds of people.
PMLN Senator informed that the government has started various energy projects in the country. He told that the govt has started 21,000 mega watt projects so far in its tenure. He also informed that the government has launched Operation Zarb-e-Azb in order to cope with the terrorism.
Earlier addressing at a ceremony of ‘Labaik Qibla Awwal March’ held under the auspices of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) here, Pervez Rasheed announced that Pakistan would observe Yaum-e-Falasteen (Palestine Day) on August 17 to show solidarity with the people of Gaza enduring the atrocities of Israel. The observance of Yaum-e-Palestine was suggested by JI Ameer Sirajul Haq in his speech. Siraj called upon the leadership of Muslim world to join hands and preserve their honor over the barbarism being unleashed on the innocent people of Gaza.
The JI Ameer said he had appealed the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to convene a meeting over the issue of Gaza. INP
