Sirajul Haq calls for Scotland-like referendum in Kashmir

KOHALA: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq on Thursday said that Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir.

Talking to the media persons in Kohala, he said Kashmir is jugular vein of Pakistan and the entire political leadership of the country stands by their Kashmiri brethren.

We will never backtrack from the Kashmir cause. He urged the international community to play its role for the just solution of Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people.

“We will never backtrack from the Kashmir cause… I appeal international community to play its role for solution of Kashmir issue in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people and pay attention to Indian atrocities.” The JI chief called for a Scotland-like referendum in occupied Kashmir and ruled out any possibility of friendly relations with India until Kashmir dispute is settled.

The Jamaat-e-Islami ameer said that the whole Pakistani nation is united on the Kashmir issue.

He said that youngsters, women and children have rendered countless sacrifices. “We pay tribute to the martyrs of Kashmir”, he said.

The JI Chief and party activists made a chain of human hands to express solidarity with the Kashmiris. He also chanted “Ab Kashmir Banay Ga Pakistan (Kashmir will become a part of Pakistan” slogans on the occasion.
