KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) head Siraj ul Haq has told Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief, Altaf Hussain to apologize to people of Karachi, not the establishment.
Speaking to media persons on Sunday, Haq said Altaf Hussain apologized to the establishment in his Saturday’s rally. “Will he (Altaf Hussain) also tender an apology for Baldia Town factory killings or will he apologize for burning lawyers alive in their chambers?” he asked.
“It would have been better if Altaf Hussain had apologized to the people of Karachi,” he noted.
Haq said that MQM had been holding the city hostage for the past 25 years. “Media and courts are also hostage in Karachi,” he said.
“Karachi is passing through a difficult time at this stage. God willing, we will liberate the city.”
The JI chief prayed that the visit of Chinese President to Pakistan proves to be beneficial for both the friendly countries.
