Sindh govt to coop with ADB to complete joint projects: CS

KARACHI (INP): Chief Secretary Sindh, Sajjad Saleem Hotiana has assured that the provincial government would extend utmost cooperation for the completion and implementation of projects that are being executed with the assistance of Asian Development Bank (ADB).

 

He stated this while presiding over a meeting on the affairs of ADB-Assisted Development Projects in Sindh at his office. ADB officials, Ms. Bitty Wilkinson, Mr. Shazeb Ali and Mr. Ali Ashraf Ahmed, Additional Chief Secretary Planning & Development Muhammad Waseem, Secretary Finance, Hassan Naqvi and Director Finance S. Shahnawaz also attended the meeting.

 

The ADB team elucidated the concept of Islamic Financing with the specific reference of Banking and Industrial activities. The issues of Public Private Partnership, projects on Education, Energy and role of NGOs were also discussed in addition to the future development programme.

 

The ADB team expressed satisfaction over the discussion. Chief Secretary thanked for the visit and assured best cooperation.
