Sheikh Rashid criticizes Pervaiz Rashid for not broadcasting Imran Khan’s speech

ISLAMABAD:: Awami Muslim League (AML) head Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Monday slammed Information and Broadcasting Minister Pervaiz Rashid for his decision to blackout opposition’s speeches on state-run Pakistan Television (PTV).

“The day Pervaiz Rashid speaks the truth will be his last day in politics,” Ahmed said while addressing the joint session of Parliament.

He also praised National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq for rejecting Rashid’s false claim on PTV boycott.

Sheikh Rashid also tabled a privilege motion against Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid over opposition’s blackout on PTV.

Pervaiz Rashid has misled the house on the issue of PTV’s blackout of opposition’s speeches, reads the privilege motion.

The information minister deliberately ordered the blackout of opposition’s speeches and told a lie on the floor of National Assembly, it said. NNI
