Siege of Pakistani High Commission in New Dehli and attack on Chinese forces reflect its nefarious designs that can endanger regional peace. We express our unflinching solidarity with Government and the people of China!” he remarked. Shehbaz Sharif went on to say that extreme oppression in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, aggression in Ladakh and unwarranted ceasefire violations on LOC are clear examples of Indian aggression. The opposition leader further said that UN and Security Council should not be a silent spectator but play role in curbing Indian war frenzy, adding that the people of Pakistan support China and stand with the people of China against every Indian aggression. “Peace in South Asia is precariously poised after Modi’s illegal annexation of IoK. Any miscalculation has the potential to rupture it. UN must not allow Indian jingoism to go unnoticed. Modi would do well to fight Corona, not a neighbor that believes in non-interference and peace!” the Opposition Leader tweeted. He said: “The siege of Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi and intimidation of diplomatic staff was an expression of petty thinking. Prime Minister Narendra Modi should fight coronavirus with neighbors and not destroy peace in region.” “Peace in South Asia is precariously poised after Modi s illegal annexation of IoK, adding that any miscalculation has the potential to rupture it,” Shehbaz said and added UN must not allow Indian jingoism to go unnoticed. Meanwhile, as per media reports, tensions continue to brew between India and Pakistan after reports of Pakistani diplomats being harassed in New Delhi emerged. A heavy contingent of police officials surrounded the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi in an apparent attempt to harass the Pakistani diplomats. The development came in the wake of Islamabad Police arresting two employees of the Indian High Commission on Monday for attempting to flee after running over a man and critically injuring him. Eyewitnesses had said a BMW vehicle hit a pedestrian who was walking on the Embassy Road and attempted to flee. The pedestrian was critically injured and shifted to a hospital for treatment. A huge crowd of people stopped the car and handed over the two men to Islamabad Police. Eyewitnesses said the car was being driven irresponsibly and had gotten out of control due to over-speeding. The victim was walking on the footpath at the road when he was run over by the car. The two officials had later been released due to their diplomatic status. Islamabad police said both Indian High Commission officials were released due to their diplomatic immunity and had been handed over in the presence of Pakistani ministry’s officials.
