PTI deserves credit for initiating struggle for accountability: S.K. Niazi

Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: Sharif family has been exposed and likely it would be proved guilty of perjury, forgery besides corruption as disqualification of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is on the cards.

This was stated by Central Spokesperson Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Fawad Choudhary on Tuesday in an exclusive interview in renowned show of Roze News ‘Sachi Baat’ hosted by Editor in Chief Pakistan Group of Newspapers and Chairman Roze News, Sardar Khan Niazi, he said Hassan Nawaz, son of Prime Minister, was a student in 1999 when he purchased property worth of Rs 60.5 million, now question arises if he was a student at that time from where he received the recourse to buy such an expensive property.  He further said that Hassan Nawaz owns almost nine companies in London and all of them are running on huge losses, but it is absurd that despite the losses of millions he was busy buying more and expensive properties.

He said that there are bright chances that Nawaz Sharif would be disqualified under Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution because he was involved in corruption. Appreciating the work of Joint Investigation Team, he said that JIT rightly asked for filing NAB references against Prime Minister and his family along with Ishaq Dar. He said that excellent work done by JIT formed by Supreme Court of Pakistan proved that the institutions and capacity was there but the people at top did not want them to function properly.

Answering a question Fawad Choudhary said that petitions against Imran Khan are destined to be declared as trashed by the apex court since the allegations leveled in these petitions are politically motivated. He stated that PMLN wants to avenge Imran Khan for Panama probe. He said that the record of Imran Khan’s financial assets provided to the Supreme Court is ‘simply explained’ and ‘transparent’ and far beyond that asked for in the petition filed against him by PMLN. He said that unlike Sharifs, who are also guilty of perjury and forgery besides corruption, Imran Khan brought back his foreign earnings to Pakistan. He said that there is huge difference between the evidences presented by PML-N and in the Parliamentary address of Prime Minister in the Parliament. He said that despite using all the tactics Sharif family has been exposed in front of nation.

Sardar Khan Niazi said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf deserves all the credit for its struggle to stir the process of accountability in the country. He said that PTI is a different political party from PPP and PMLN in such a way that it is not based on inherited politics. He said that PTI and other political parties are justified in their demand that government should unveil the factors behind conspiracies, if there are any.
