In Adiala Prison, senior PTI politician Shahbaz Gill’s health started to deteriorate, which prompted the call for a medical team to check him out.Shahbaz Gill, chief of staff for PTI chairman Imran Khan, reportedly experienced chest pain as a result of breathing difficulties.
Gill’s health is getting worse, hence the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) team has arrived at Adiala jail to perform a thorough medical assessment on him.The sources claim that after experiencing health problems, Gill is being sent to a jail hospital for treatment.
The Adiala jail superintendent, meantime, refuted claims regarding Shahbaz Gill’s health and asserted that he is in perfect health and has not been transferred from custody.Shahbaz Gill, a senior leader of the PTI, was detained on August 9 in Islamabad after being charged with sedition for inciting rebellion in the Pakistan Army.
The Islamabad Police last week also filed a case against the PTI leader for possessing an illegal firearm, in addition to the sedition accusations he was already facing. After conducting a late-night raid on the PTI leader’s room at Parliament Lodges, where they found guns, a satellite phone, and foreign currency, police booked Gill in the case.A day earlier, Gill’s bail application in the sedition case brought against him was denied by an Islamabad court.
