he PTI has petitioned the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to provide “proof of by-poll engineering” and launch a complaint against the competing PML-N candidate amid allegations of “intervention” in the impending by-polls in Punjab.
The News reports that PTI vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, whose son is running for PP-217 from Multan, went to the election commission on Friday to ask the ECP to look into the situation.Speaking to journalists, he said that the PML-N candidate is the target of a “rigged and manoeuvred” by-election process. He also claimed to have “strong evidence” of rigging, which he has sent to ECP officials.
