Several PTI leaders secretly met me during sit-in: Nisar

NisarISLAMABAD, Dec 4 (INP): Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar revealed on Thursday that the government has decided to resume talks with the protesting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

While talking to the reporters at his chamber in the Parliament House, the minister told that despite serious allegations leveled against the government by the PTI leaders from their containers and their hostile behaviour, the government has decided to resume the dialogue process with the party.

Nisar further told that a report regarding the matter has also been sent to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who is currently in London.

He said that some PTI leaders made statements against their conscience to please Imran Khan while they met him (Nisar) in the midst of nights to clear their positions.

The Interior Minister said that one prominent leader from Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa made extremely harsh statements against the government at the container and regularly met him at night. He said he was ready to produce record of such meetings.

Meanwhile reliable sources said that Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak had been holding secret meetings with the Interior Minister during the sit in and opposed the policies of Imran Khan and repeatedly expressed his desire not to dissolve the provincial assembly. The KPK Chief Minister at one of the meetings disclosed that Imran Khan was pressurizing him for the dissolution of the provincial assembly but he was opposed to it.

They said that these meetings were held at Punjab House and one in Murree at a government rest house.

It is worth mentioning that Pervaiz Khattak and Chaudhry Nisar had remained class fellows and have old friendly relationship.
